American rock band Alien Ant Farm have said it was a "bummer" not to be included in the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 soundtrack, after their track Wish originally featured in the series' fourth game.
Security is more important than ever these days, and that extends even to your entertainment devices. Even beyond your precious save data and screenshots, there’s a lot of important stuff on your Nintendo Switch 2 that you don’t want just anyone accessing. Or, you know, maybe you just want to keep your kids off the… Read more...
TallBoys and Critical Reflex have announced an open public playtest for Militsioner, the immersive sim in which you try to escape a town that swelters in the shadow of an extremely large, temperamental policeman. It would be nice to think the premise has gotten less relevant since we first covered the game in 2021, but I suspect that if you are currently living in, say, Los Angeles, you will find much to relate to. Here's a trailer. Read more

If I had to name the one thing I miss most about my school days (and to be honest, I'm going back a fairly long way here) I'd say it's the ability to play football every day. I'm sure I could do that now if I really wanted to, but never again will I be in a position to run out onto the playground or field every breaktime and always have enough people for at least some five-a-side. It was glorious. Tennis ball, sopping wet sponge ball, tatty old mini leather ball… we'd have kicked around a bunch of rolled up paper if we had to. Having played Sloclap's (Sifu, Absolver) Rematch for a few hours it's already provided the closest I've experienced to those classic days of scuffed shoes and grass-stained trousers. Read more
Here's how to play all of the FNAF games in timeline order before Secret of the Mimic arrives this summer.
It's been over a decade since a Silent Hill movie was playing in theaters, but that drought will end next year. Cineverse--the distributer behind last year's horror hit Terrifier 3--has placed the upcoming sequel, Return To Silent Hill, on its release calendar for 2026. According to Deadline, Return To Silent Hill is set to hit theaters on January 23, 2026, just a few months shy of the 20th anniversary of the original Silent Hill film by director Christophe Gans. That movie was followed by a sequel, Silent Hill: Revelation, in 2012, which loosely adapted Silent Hill 3. Gans did not return to helm the second film, but he is making a comeback to the franchise for Return To Silent Hill. This time, the story will take its cue from Silent Hill 2, the acclaimed 2001 survival-horror title that was successfully remade last year. Jeremy Irvine will star as James Sunderland, with Hannah Emily Anderson as Mary, and Evie Templeton as Laura. Continue Reading at GameSpot
Ornithopters still don't take damage from collisions—but now neither do players.
Elden Ring Nightreign. It's gotten another patch, and while not as beefy as you might like, it's a box of bug fixes that you should know about. Especially if you've ever been fighting a Nightlord, gone down, been revived, and then immediately flopped back down dead. Also, there's a single balancing tweak which goes one step beyond to encourage the use of madness-infused weapons that I'm sure would look good with your baggy trousers. Read more
Donkey Kong Bananza just went from looking like a neat new spin-off for Nintendo’s long-standing ape to one of the Switch 2's first killer single-player exclusives. Dune: Awakening's latest update has brought major endgame PvP changes, putting an end to one particularly annoying strategy and making death in PvP zones far more punishing. Update 1.1.0.15, released June 18, makes it so players no longer receive damage when hit by vehicles in Funcom's survival game set in author Frank Herbert's sci-fi universe. It may seem like an odd change out of context, but it's to curb a PvP strategy developer Funcom has called "goomba stomping" and previously vowed to address. The strategy involves players in their flying ornithopter vehicles continually crushing enemy players on the ground by repeatedly flying into them. It's a welcome change that should make endgame PvP more interesting. Another significant PvP change is an adjustment to respawn timers. Instead of being able to quickly respawn in a PvP zone, as was previously the case, players will now need to wait 70 seconds after death in a PvP zone. Subsequent deaths will take 115 seconds. Here are PC Gamer's hardware picks, based on years of experience and expert knowledge, all in an easily digestible but admittedly big ol' list.
A bunch of Borderlands 4 coverage has surfaced from the internet's soup pot like the bones of that beloved pet hamster you thought had escaped through the scullery. Quickly now, before your darling children see, let's sift through the remains in search of News. Well now! It turns out they're keeping the jokes to a relative minimum in this one. So says Taylor Clark, Borderlands 4's lead writer, in a chat about the game's lush dystopian setting. Read more
Beat Saber, the popular VR rhythm game, will no longer receive updates or new content on PlayStation 4 or PS5, developer Beat Games has announced. The game's multiplayer will additionally be taken offline for Sony's consoles at the beginning of 2026. The game will remain playable on PS4/PS5, and players will still be able to purchase the game and all previously released songs and music packs. However, June 18's addition of Lady Gaga's "Abracadabra" will be the last content release for the PS4 and PS5 versions. Beat Saber is also losing some functionality. Starting January 21, 2026, Beat Saber multiplayer will no longer function on the PS4/PS5 version of the game. Continue Reading at GameSpot
Elden Ring Nightreign Patch 1.01.3 is live now on all platforms, and while it just hits a few distinct bullet points for tuning and bug fixing, players seem appreciative of the changes that have been made. Check out the patch notes.
Dotemu has been at the forefront of a revolution in retro-style 2D throwbacks as of late. Recent hits include updates to classic franchises like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, Metal Slug Tactics, and Streets of Rage 4, while the company's porting pedigree also includes the Final Fantasy franchise, as well as multiple Neo Geo titles. The publisher is double-dipping into nostalgia in 2025, first with Ninja Gaiden Ragebound, and then with Marvel Cosmic Invasion, the latest collaboration between Dotemu and Tribute Games. After getting some hands-on time with the new sidescrolling arcade superhero beat-'em-up at Summer Game Fest 2025, the evolution of what the two companies built in Shredder's Revenge so far seems worthy of the superhero names it includes. My demo began with me selecting two heroes from a group of seven available choices: Captain America, Nova, Storm, Venom, Wolverine, Spider-Man, and Phyla-Vell. The seven heroes have distinct movesets and abilities--which is a step forward from Shredder's Revenge, where outside of little nuances, each Ninja Turtle you could control functioned essentially the same way. Someone bring me a Dremel.
I spent an enormously disproportionate amount of my childhood playing one game: Buggy Boy. I have learned, in preparation for this article, that this arcade classic had a different name in the U.S. “Speed Buggy.” Pah-tooie. Ew. No. It’s Buggy Boy, and it was—until 2025—the only racing game that recognized the vital… Read more...
Warner Bros. Games have enacted some corporate-mandated chair-rejigging after shuttering three studios earlier this year. The company are now divided into four divisions that'll be focusing on the four game series they want to do stuff with. As reported by Variety, these four bits will focus on making games about Game of Thrones, Mortal Kombat, the DC Universe, and the wizard that I'm not going to bother naming. Read more
